Training

At Rocky River we offer obedience training, Retriever Training and Upland training for all breeds. In 2007 we had two National Champions ,in 2008 we won two additional National Championships as well as earning numerous titles and high point dog of the year for two consecutive years. We love to hunt, field trial and hunt test with our four-legged friends on a regular basis. Our dogs are great house pets as well as prolific hunters.

No matter what level your dog is at, we can either teach or refine skills that are specific for your dog. If you love to hunt, field trial, hunt test, or you just want a dog to show off... we’ve got a plan designed specifically for each dog. At Rocky River, we don’t just “train dogs”, were passionate about “teaching them” what their owners expect of them. Our training is not limited to one specific school of thought. Contrary to popular belief, not every dog will respond to the same regiment of training. Once we have met your dog and learn how they react to certain situations, they are started in a training session specific to their needs.

Rocky River has continued Its National Championships, winning one in 2009, 2010 and 2011! Along with the wins, we also had two other dogs finish in the top 10 during the 2011 UFTA Nationals in Town Creek Alabama.
